Department introduction/description :

The Neurosurgery Department is a key part of the Institute of Medicine in Kathmandu, Nepal. The department of Neurosurgery is one of the earliest to provide sub specialty training since 2010 AD. Currently 11 batches of graduates have been trained with degree of MCh and providing neurosurgical services across Nepal and abroad.

 The department is staffed by highly trained neurosurgeons who handle a wide range of complex cases, including brain tumors, aneurysms, trauma, pediatric cases, and various neurological disorders with advanced neurosurgical equipment.

The department is also heavily involved in teaching and research, with activities such as journal clubs, case presentations, and mortality reviews. This ensures that both residents and medical students receive comprehensive training and exposure to the latest advancements in neurosurgery

The Neurosurgery Department at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) aims to be a center of excellence in neurosurgical care, education, and research. We strive to provide the highest quality of patient care, advance the field through innovative research, and train the next generation of neurosurgeons.
